Internship opportunities are offered year round and are flexible to accommodate the students schedule
ProHealth One offers a six-week paid internship opportunity for high school students in which they will gain experience in the following areas:
- Observing appointments between medical providers and patients in an outpatient setting
- Rotating with medical assistants and/or nurses
- Learning how to take vitals and prepare exam rooms for patients
- Join meetings related to clinic operations and rotating in different administrative positions
- Observing call center operations
- Observing billing operations
- Receiving HIPAA training
- Attend virtual presentations educating students on health disparities and equity, current public health topics, different health care career options, current technology in medicine, and more
